ABSTRACTING AND INDEXING The journal is indexed by EMBASE/Excerpta Medica.
SCOPE The CME Journal of Gynecologic Oncology focuses on controversial aspects and new developments in gynecologic oncology with the aim of providing a unique opportunity for those interested in postgraduate education in the field. In-depth, written symposium is the main thrust. It is made up of chapters each devoted to a single topic addressed by several internationally acknowledged, mostly invited experts and edited by an individual distinguished in the field. Repetition is the way of learning and this principle is considered central to the Journal's purpose. Consequently the topics are addressed in a repetitive way by several authors of the chapters. Such an approach is bound to provide a wider spectrum of reviews highlighting controversies and advances. Practical conclusions are given by the Chapter Editors.
The topics and editors are chosen by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors after consultation with various members of the International Advisory Board.
Due to constant advances in medicine, a regular section entitled "Addendum" is included with additional papers to those published in previous chapters, providing updates.
In addition to peer reviewed education (review) articles of the chapters, round tables, news, comments, critiques, book reviews and teaching methods are also provided. Correspondence from readers is published only if it is of general interest. The journal is not a venue for original articles.
RATIONAL In the rapidly expanding field of gynecologic oncology it is becoming almost impossible to keep up-to-date with issues of concern. The CME Journal of Gynecologic Oncology is an authoritative platform for specialists in a broad spectrum of current clinical strategies and practice.
RESPONSIBILITY Articles and any other material published in the CME Journal of Gynecologic Oncology represent the opinions of the author(s) and should not be construed to reflect the opinions of the Editors or the Publisher. Statements and views expressed in the "Chapter Editor's introduction and conclusions" are those of the chapter editor and not necessarily those of the authors of the papers within the chapter.
